Rs 1500 will be deducted as Sugam Darshan fee from the salary of Sub Inspector Ashish Singh of Chowk police station, who gave Sparsh Darshan to five devotees without protocol in Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Temple SDM Shambhu Kumar has sent a letter to the Police Commissioner requesting to deduct the amount of protocol ticket of five persons, Rs 1500 from the inspector’s salary and deposit it in the account of the temple trust.

After this letter from the SDM, there is a stir in the police department and the new protocol system of the temple administration is being discussed in hushed tones. In the letter issued by the temple administration, it has been said that from January 1, 2024, the temple administration has implemented a new system of protocol for darshan and worship. However, on January 4, Inspector Ashish Singh, posted at Chowk police station, disregarded the rules and took five persons to the sanctum sanctorum and touched them without any protocol slip or Sugam Darshan ticket.

In this situation, anger among the general public and visitors holding protocol tickets was also cited. In the letter of the SDM, the Police Commissioner has been requested to deduct the amount of protocol ticket of five persons from the salary of the inspector and deposit Rs 1500 in the account of the temple trust along with imposing a fine.
